2000 年初在英国诺丁汉大学（ University of Nottingham ）学习；同年底进入荷兰鹿特丹贝尔拉格建筑学院（ Berlage Institute of Rotterdam ）学习。 2002 年 7 月毕业于该校并以论文《如何制造唐人街》获得建筑学荣誉硕士学位。同年 4 月至 8 月作为荷兰 大都会 建筑事务所（ OMA ）设计顾问参加中国中央电视台新台址国际设计竞赛，该方案中标并即将实施。
2002 年 10 月创办北京伴城建筑设计公司，任设计总监。
